In 2019 Middle Fork Lodge added the Middle Fork Lodge Rafting Co. to expand our suite of activities offered here in the Frank Church Wilderness. Now a designated rafting outfitter to serve Lodge clientele, guests can book white water rafting experiences, both to and from the lodge, that parallel the refined expectations of your stay at the Middle Fork Lodge.
Summer charter Raft In:
You will find all the necessary information of how to get to and from the lodge and the support needed to make your travels as smooth as possible on our planning your stay page. Please click here for detailed rafting logistics. During selected dates during the summer season, mid June through July, you can raft into Middle Fork Lodge. You can raft out of Middle Fork Lodge in June, July or August.
After arriving in Idaho, the Middle Fork Lodge team will help guide you to our meeting place in Stanley where you will be met by members of your rafting team to begin your adventure. We like to think of this as an active way to dive into and experience the wildness of the Frank Church River of No Return Wilderness prior to arriving at the sumptuous oasis of Middle Fork Lodge. It’s only one of three ways to find yourself nested within this vast 2.4 million acre wilderness.
summer Charter Raft Out:
Skip the put-in logistics and step out front door of MFL, cross the lawn and hop onto your raft to experience the lower section of the Middle Fork and Impassable Canyon.The Lodge sits at approximately Mile 34 of the 106 mile Middle Fork Rafting trip, approximately ⅓ of the way through the stretch. Should you and your party wish to back end your time at the Lodge with a whitewater adventure, we are happy to facilitate the end of your stay by sending you off with our experienced team right out our front door. Whether you choose to raft in or out, both experiences provide a beautiful balance of restorative energy and the great outdoors.
September “Cast and Blast” Fishing and Chukar Hunting Trips:
If you love the idea of fly fishing the Middle Fork in the early fall with the added bonus of chukar hunting (small bird game) along the way, this trip is for you. These trips do not include a stay at Middle Fork Lodge, but can be arranged with a group of 8 or more.

Rates:
Please note that these rates are approximate and dependent on your trip choice. All rafting trips (except the Cast & Blast) have an 8 person minimum group size consistent with our minimum reservation at the Middle Fork Lodge. Smaller group sizes are welcome to reserve at the base rate for 8 guests. A Middle Fork Lodge staff member can walk you through this option.
